You must take the test at the end and fill out the annual checklist to complete the re-certification process. 2.24.2006 | Youth Livestock Calendar Now Operational! Use the link above to access the Youth Livestock Events Calendar. To add an event to the calendar, click on the "Submit an Event" link and then fill in the information on your event. Your submission will need to be approved before it appears on the calendar (so it will NOT show up instantly!). The Excel spreadsheets below provide a valuable tool for calculating the proper weight to purchase market hogs for show at county fair. The spreadsheets will also help you calculate the feed consumption of market hogs at any given weight. There are two versions of the spreadsheets; one that you can print and carry with you to pig sales and another that is designed to be used on your computer or on Windows Mobile OS and Palm OS PDA's. These spreadsheets were developed by Mick Livingston out in Kit Carson County. If you have questions on their use, contact Mick at mick.livingston@colostate.edu or at (719) 346-5571.
